How This Book Came to Be
Leading in a Wicked World grew from conversations between Sonja Wekema and Matthias Schramm about leadership in a world that increasingly resists simple answers.
The book brings together perspectives on complexity, leadership and human behaviour and asks what happens when leaders stop looking for the one right answer and start paying closer attention to themselves, their organisations and the systems around them.
It is an invitation to question assumptions, explore different perspectives and take responsibility for how we lead.
The Five Chapters

1. The Wicked World Dilemma
An exploration of wicked problems and what they mean for the way we think about leadership.

2. Your Personal Script
How our experiences, assumptions and patterns influence the way we see situations and respond to them.

3. The Org Script
How organisations develop their own patterns, assumptions and ways of working, and how these shape what becomes possible.

4. Embracing Different Perspectives
Why seeing a situation through different perspectives matters when no single person has the complete picture.

5. Dance with the Wicked World
Bringing the ideas together and exploring how we can continue to lead, learn and act in a world that remains inherently uncertain.
Each chapter ends with Questions for Reflection.
